My last day of teaching was great. Well, I guess I didn't actually do any teaching since I had completely phased out, but it was still great to be there. Later into the afternoon I was summoned to the principle's office for a "meeting" aka to get me out of the classroom so they could get a party ready. I came back from my "meeting" to 18 students who jumped out of hiding with an overwhelming "SURPRISE" and met me at the door with hugs. We played music, opened presents, ate cake and said our last goodbyes before I left.
| I made gift bags with little notes for each of my students. |
| Okay, so I realize that they do not all look super excited here, but I promise it's just the picture...they really are a happy bunch! |
So now comes the question of what to do with this blog? It has always been about my college life (hence the title: Lists from a college girl), and then more recently about student teaching, which was the major culminating activity to my college career. Graduation is quickly approaching, and I will no longer be a 'college girl'. Perhaps this will become a place with posts from a 'job searching girl' or a 'newly employed girl' or [hopefully!] 'first year teaching girl'.
